The brilliant, wonderful and indomitable Timothy Leary. Richard Nixon called him “the most dangerous man in America.” Allen Ginsberg said Leary was “a hero of American consciousness.”

They were both right. Leary’s strong early advocacy of psychedelic substances made him dangerous to the status quo, and the cultural engineers made certain he and his family suffered for advising American youth to “Question Authority” and “Turn on, Tune in, Drop Out.”

Virtually ALL of the modern-day “breakthrough” scientific studies showing benefits of psychedelics in psychology and psychiatry were studied by Leary in the early 1960’s. He went to prison for his trouble. Without his work and advocacy, there would be no Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's albums by The Beatles. There would be no Grateful Dead as we know it. In our humble opinion, a posthumous Nobel Prize is in order.
