DMT Trip Report — The One I Remember

I do not usually remember trips clearly. With psychedelics, especially stronger ones, I tend to be taken away. I let go, and afterward I’m left more with a strange residue than a linear memory. I know I have taken a lot of acid in my life, though in recent years that has mostly been microdosing. I have memories around DXM and ketamine, but the only major trip report that remains vivid and meaningful is my DMT experience.

The experience began immediately. There was no slow transition. I was greeted right away and told to lay down and die. I was told to let go. I understood that I was not supposed to resist.

Then I was taken by what felt like a male entity, though there was also a female voice present. The entity dragged me through what appeared to be the Akashic Record, over and over again, stopping to point things out. It felt instructional, but also overwhelming, almost like being pulled through a divine archive too quickly to fully understand it.

I was shown bright, fluorescent, illuminated machinery — mechanical, impossible, fourth-dimensional structures that seemed to be running the universe from behind the visible world. It looked like the engine room of reality. The experience kept going deeper and stranger until it moved into darkness, solitude, floating, and the image or presence of a baby. Eventually I saw code beaming from beyond the edge of something like an event horizon.

When I came back, around 50 minutes had passed. Afterward I had a severe headache that lasted at least a week and was bad enough that I considered going to the hospital.

The clearest lasting message of the experience was that I was reprimanded for drinking. Since then, alcohol has not felt like something I can negotiate with. It is not simply that I do not want to drink. It is that I know I cannot. That realization has stayed with me, and my sobriety now feels connected to that experience: not as a casual health goal, but as a truth I was forced to recognize.
